It's now mid february 2023 and I have posted about what a joke wells fargo customer service now for 2 months ... guess what they still have not returned the contents of my late step father safety deposit box despite the fact that he has been dead now since nov 5th ... I have taken the death certifictae to different branches several ties and just this week the branch that has the safety deposit box called my 84 yr old mother to verify ( again? how many times now ) my mother's information ...

 I think they were hoping she passed or wouldn't return their call so they can keep the contents , even though she had to have a notarized form sent and sent the safety deposit key with the letter requesting contents returned they still called a number she doesn't know how to answer , I had to help her and show her she missed calls etc and I told the bank that many times and provided my number and what number do they call,,, the one she doesn't answer ... this bank has been a nightmare to get proper customer service from see past details below

Wells fargo is the worst ... I tried from early nov 2022 thru mid december to get help on moving a safety deposit box for my elderly mother ... they set an appointment we showed up ... it was the wrong branch they sent us to and no one at that branch was aware we were coming .. then we physically went to the branch they said her box was at and they wouldn't help with out an appointment ... 

I tried reaching out here on facebook and chatted they said they would reach out and help that was a mistake ... my mother doesn't answer unrecognized numbers and apparently wells fargo won't call anyone else in the family like me who's been trying to get this done since mid november .. what they did do is cancel my mother's credit card w/o telling her or anyone so she could not get food in the house since it was her only card I got to physically drive 80 miles and get her something to eat ... 

I called today and they want me to make another appointment and i would have to bring my mother back to oceanside 80 miles away from where she lives now for this new appointment and no one helps they all have excuses why it has to be done this way ... she can't travel 160 miles round trip to do this she would be in so much pain just one way ... so now it looks like wells will get the contents of this box ... what a bunch a garbage customer service said there was nothing they could do ... if they had given us the right appointment and location in the 1st place that would have been good enough that was too much to expect wells fargo to do but now there is nothing ... thanks for nothing ... if you want horrible service bank with wells fargo... any wonder Wells Fargo ordered to pay $3.7 billion for ‘illegal activity’ including unjust foreclosures and vehicle repossessions ... how many safety deposit boxes they stealing like this from people by sending them to wrong branch etc.

I filed a formal complaint guess what the apologised and wants her to set an appointment to get her contents or move her box ... any bets that no matter which option she chooses ( it will be to move to la mirada bank she can't ride 140 miles round trip to oceanside without pain as they know ) they will probably insist she travel no matter which option i tried calling several times got auto message no bankers were available that is usually the case or if I do get someone it's they w ill call me back ... I have been awaiting the call back from la mirada wells fargo for 2 weeks ... clowns
