The band that is playing tonight is called Leonid and Friends, and they're from Moscow, Russia. They are mostly a Chicago tribute band, but they also play some Earth, Wind and Fire and Chaka Khan, among others. They have many videos on YouTube. I flew to Idaho last November to see them perform and now they are playing here in Corpus. I will see them again in Austin on Sunday and then a dental appointment with my old Doc on Monday.

I retired this year and moved to a small 2-bedroom condo in Port Aransas on the beach, trying to make my life simple. I got lucky with a hurricane damaged, fire sale of a condo, but it has taken two extra years to rebuild so I am glad to finally be in here. I am the only one living here so far!

I do have a girl friend (2 words) in Monterrey, Mexico where I will spend the holidays, but I want to get back here to my home. I want to experience all of the seasons on the beach and see if this is where I want to stay. I am mostly from Austin, but I did spend some years in Idaho working the hi-tech industry.

Being a very amateur musician, I hope to check out more of the live music venues around town once I get finished with my place. The housing quality in Austin is a solid nine, where this place is maybe a three. I have been here 5 weeks, and I am still correcting mistakes, but I am almost finished. I don't know how much more my hands will take at this age.
